T-Series chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar has emerged as the wealthiest name from Bollywood in the Hurun India Rich List 2026, with an estimated net worth of ₹36,300 crore. He ranks 87th overall and is the only person from the entertainment industry to feature in the top 100. The figures put Kumar’s estimated wealth well above several of Bollywood’s biggest stars. Shah Rukh Khan is estimated at ₹10,000 crore, Amitabh Bachchan at ₹4,000 crore, Salman Khan at ₹3,000 crore and Hrithik Roshan at ₹2,500 crore. These figures are estimates from the wealth ranking, not audited personal wealth figures.
Bhushan Kumar took over the reins of T-Series in 1997 at the age of 19, following the death of his father and company founder Gulshan Kumar. Under his leadership, T-Series expanded from a music label into a major entertainment business spanning music, film production and digital content. The rise of T-Series has also transformed the Kumar family’s estimated wealth. Hurun-linked reports put the family’s wealth at around ₹10,500 crore in 2024, compared with ₹36,300 crore in the 2026 list. As with other rich-list figures, these numbers are estimates based on valuations of businesses and assets at a particular point in time.
