India delivered a spectacular performance on Day 13 of the Asian Games 2026 in Japan, winning 10 medals, including six golds, across multiple events. The haul took India’s overall medal tally to 76, helping the country climb three places to fifth position in the medal standings. Indian athletes dominated the day across archery, boxing, wrestling, sailing and hockey.
The biggest highlight came from women’s hockey, as India defeated China 1-0 to win the Asian Games gold after a 44-year wait. Lalremsiami scored the decisive goal as India held on to secure a historic title. In archery, the Indian women’s recurve team of Ankita Bhakat, Kumkum Mohod and Keerthi defeated South Korea 5-3 to claim gold—the country’s first Asian Games gold in the women’s recurve team event.
Boxing also produced three gold medals for India. Lovlina Borgohain defeated China’s boxer 5-0 in the final, while Parveen Hooda secured gold after a 3-2 split-decision win over Chinese Taipei. Ankush Panghal completed the boxing gold-medal hat-trick by winning the men’s 80kg category. Wrestling added another gold, with Sujeet Kalkal beating his opponent 10-9 in the men’s 65kg final.
India also secured medals in sailing and archery. Netra Kumanan won bronze in sailing, while Sheetal and Harshita Tomar also claimed bronze. The mixed recurve team of Dheeraj and Kumkum Mohod won silver, while India’s men’s recurve team settled for silver after losing the final to South Korea. With 10 medals on a single day, including six golds, India’s campaign has gained significant momentum as the Asian Games enter their final phase.
