Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Art of Living International Center on May 10, marking its 45th anniversary celebrations. During the visit, he will inaugurate a newly built ‘Meditation Hall’ and participate in several commemorative events at the spiritual campus. The visit also coincides with the 70th birthday of spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living movement. The organization has planned multiple service-oriented initiatives to mark the occasion, highlighting its focus on social welfare and community development.
The Prime Minister’s participation is intended to acknowledge the institution’s contributions in the fields of spirituality, education, and humanitarian service. The event is expected to bring attention to its large-scale outreach programs across India and abroad. Founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living is a non-profit educational and humanitarian organization that operates in 182 countries. It collaborates with governments, corporations, and local communities worldwide, focusing on stress relief programs, social service initiatives, and spiritual well-being.
