Team India is set to tour Sri Lanka next month for a two-match Test series, which will be a part of the ICC World Test Championship. Led by Shubman Gill, India will look to improve its position in the WTC standings with a strong performance in the series. The first Test will be played in Galle from August 15 to 19, while the second Test is scheduled in Colombo from August 23 to 27. The series is expected to be an important challenge as India aims to gain valuable championship points.
Before the Sri Lanka tour, India has a packed international calendar. The team is currently playing a T20I series against England, followed by a three-match ODI series. India will then travel to Zimbabwe for a three-match T20I series as part of its preparations for the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup. With matches across all three formats, Team India’s schedule remains extremely busy. Fans will be hoping the Men in Blue can carry momentum into the Sri Lanka Tests and strengthen their World Test Championship campaign.
