Musk’s Wealth Surges, Ambani Loses Over ₹20,000 Crore in a Day

Stock market swings have once again triggered massive changes in the fortunes of the world’s richest people. Reliance Industries shares fell 1.34%, wiping out more than $2.11 billion, or over ₹20,000 crore, from Mukesh Ambani’s wealth in a single day. His net worth now stands at around $86 billion, placing him 24th on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Meanwhile, Tesla and SpaceX-linked gains sent Elon Musk’s fortune soaring by more than $34.1 billion—roughly ₹3.23 lakh crore in a single day. Musk’s total net worth has now reached about $938 billion, leaving him around $62 billion short of the trillion-dollar mark. Ambani has also slipped behind Chinese entrepreneur Zhang Yiming, whose net worth stands at approximately $92.8 billion.

While Ambani’s wealth has fallen by $21.7 billion this year, Zhang Yiming has added $27.7 billion. Gautam Adani remains Asia’s richest, with a net worth of around $109 billion. The latest rankings highlight just how sharply stock market movements can reshape billionaire fortunes. With Musk closing in on the trillion-dollar milestone and competition intensifying among the world’s wealthiest, the global rich list could see more major changes in the weeks ahead.
