The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the venues for the upcoming ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2027, marking the return of the tournament to the African continent after 24 years. Promoted under the banner “Three Nations, One Heartbeat,” the marquee tournament will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia in October and November 2027, featuring 14 participating teams.
Out of the 12 selected host cities, South Africa will host the majority of the matches across eight venues, including iconic locations such as Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium, Newlands in Cape Town, and Kingsmead in Durban. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe will host matches across three venues in Harare, Bulawayo, and the newly developed Victoria Falls stadium. Namibia joins the host nation list for the first time, with its capital, Windhoek, featuring a newly inaugurated international stadium equipped with modern floodlights.
