Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that a revamped IRCTC website will be launched by July 15, 2026, in response to concerns raised by students regarding the current ticket-booking platform. During an interaction at a public event, students highlighted several issues they face while using the existing IRCTC website, particularly difficulties with captcha verification and the overall booking experience.
Taking immediate cognizance of the complaints, the minister reportedly contacted officials on the spot and asked whether a new and more user-friendly platform could be developed within 30 days. Assuring students that their concerns would be addressed, Vaishnaw stated that the upgraded website would be ready by July 15. The move is aimed at improving the online ticket reservation process, enhancing user experience, and making railway ticket bookings more efficient and accessible for millions of passengers across the country.
