India’s First Gen-Z Post Office in Madhya Pradesh Inaugurated at IIM Indore

Indore witnessed the inauguration of Madhya Pradesh’s first Gen-Z Post Office today at the IIM Indore campus. The ceremony was graced by Preeti Agarwal, Postmaster General, Indore Region, and Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore. Designed to blend traditional postal services with modern technology and innovation, the Gen-Z Post Office offers facilities such as a My-Stamp counter, parcel booking and packaging, ATM card and IPPB financial services. To create a youth-friendly environment, the campus post office also provides free Wi-Fi, a cafeteria, comfortable seating, quick service assistance and recreational games like string hockey, Snakes & Ladders, Ludo and chess.

A unique feature of this post office is its interior and exterior designs are crafted by IIM students through modern wall paintings, thematic graphics, symbolic art and youth-oriented décor, reflecting creativity, technology and Gen-Z thinking. Professor Himanshu Rai appreciated the Indian Postal Department’s legacy. She congratulated IIM students, emphasizing that this initiative will directly engage youth and provide access to the full range of postal services. The event was attended by postal officials, IIM faculty and students.
