Major Traffic Relief for NCR: 4-Km Elevated Road Approved Between Tilpata and Container Depot

Millions of commuters traveling between Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Delhi are set to benefit as authorities have approved the construction of a 4-kilometre elevated road from Tilpata Roundabout to the Container Depot in Greater Noida. The project aims to ease chronic traffic congestion on the busy DSC Road, where heavy container movement frequently causes long delays. The Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam has been assigned to conduct the survey and prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR), after which construction will begin.

The elevated corridor will primarily carry container trucks and other heavy vehicles, while the existing road below will remain open for local traffic. This segregation is expected to significantly reduce congestion, improve travel time, and enhance connectivity for commuters heading towards Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Dadri Railway Overbridge, and Roopwas Bypass. According to Greater Noida Authority CEO Ravi Kumar NG, the project is a major step towards improving the region’s growing traffic infrastructure and providing long-term relief to lakhs of daily commuters.
