Samsung has officially unveiled its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, during the Galaxy Unpacked event. Titled as the lightest Galaxy Z Fold model ever made, the device features a durable Flex Titanium design, a sleek profile weighing 201 grams, and an IP48 water and dust resistance rating. Available in Graphite, Cream, Lavender, and an online-exclusive Pistachio shade, the base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant starts at 1,79,999, while the 12GB/512GB model is priced at 1,99,999, and the top-tier 16GB/1TB version costs 2,39,999. Samsung is also rolling out introductory perks, including up to an 10,000 upgrade bonus, 9,000 bank or UPI cashback, and no-cost EMI options.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Running on Android 17-based One UI 9, it packs a 4,800mAh battery supporting 45W wired and 20W wireless charging. The device boasts a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display and a 5.5-inch cover screen, both featuring a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. For optics, the foldable houses dual 50-megapixel rear cameras, a 10-megapixel cover camera, and a 10-megapixel inner camera, supporting 8K video recording at 30 fps. Tailored for content creators, it introduces advanced AI-driven features like Dual Recording and the My Fancam function, which automatically tracks selected subjects and adjusts framing.
