India’s First PM MITRA Park Inaugurated in Telangana as PM Modi Launches ₹9,400 Crore Development Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth nearly ₹9,400 crore in Telangana during a virtual event held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy were among the dignitaries present at the event. One of the key highlights was the inauguration of India’s first fully operational PM MITRA Park, also known as the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, developed at an estimated cost of around ₹1,700 crore. The mega textile park is expected to strengthen India’s textile manufacturing ecosystem and generate large-scale employment opportunities in the region.

The Prime Minister also launched several major infrastructure projects aimed at boosting connectivity and industrial growth in Telangana. These include the four-laning of National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar under the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor, railway multi-tracking works on the Kazipet–Vijayawada route, a Greenfield POL (Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants) terminal in Hyderabad, and the Kazipet Rail Under Rail Bypass project. The projects are expected to significantly improve transportation, logistics, and industrial infrastructure across the state while accelerating economic development and investment opportunities in Telangana.
